Dr. Chua Soi Lek, also called Chua Kin Seng, was born on the 2nd of January, in 1947, in the Johor province of Malaysia. He recently underwent a massive political disturbance regarding a scandal. He was expelled by the MCA disciplinary committee. He additionally lost the many posts he held all those years by sheer dint of merit. Dr. Chua was a deserving Health Minister of Malaysia. His concern towards health issues earned him the support of the citizens and in addition to many political rivals.
With the scandal, Dr. Chua only made way for his rivals to taint high public image as much as possible. With the release of the scandal, everyone forgot about his contribution for the nation and only targeting the personal sphere of his life since he is a married man with three children. Dr. Chua Soi Lek had began as a medical officer in Batu Pahat Hospital in his hometown. In spite of witnessing such impact of personal life over the professional, Dr. Chua Soi Lek did not give up. He contested every election in MCA and after six whole years since the scandal and his expulsion, he won the seat of the President of MCA once again!
Not only did Dr. Chua face hundreds of criticisms for the scandal, but also added to it were some absolutely baseless allegations regarding corruption as well. However, his loyal supporters stood by him in his bad times and made him win back the seat he had lost due to a completely apolitical reason. He admitted his mistake but his rivals in Malaysia did not leave a chance to politicize the issue.
In March 2010, Dr. Chua, along with his supporters and some members of the central committee who supported Liow Tiong Lai, resigned. With the mass resignation of over 2/3rd members of the core committee, MCA was left with no choice but to conduct elections again.
After six years since his expulsion, Dr. Chua Soi Lek won a 3 method fight against Ong Tee Keit and Ong Ka Ting for the position of the President. His post of the President of MCA was restored.
Lastly, Dr. Chua could get back to work for the citizens of Malaysia, keeping aside all differences together with his rivals.
